A new skin-care business has opened in Ahwatukee Foothills that can tone the texture and tightness of your skin.

Owner Trish Gulbranson said Derma Health Institute has 15 lasers that can tighten skin and remove imperfections. It is also one of the largest providers of Botox and Juvederm.

"These noninvasive medical procedures make you look younger without looking pulled and tucked," Gulbranson said. "I wanted to create something that would be enjoyable, so people that would come in would feel welcome."

Formerly a CEO for a software company, Gulbranson started Derma Health Institute five years ago, and currently has two other locations in Mesa and Chandler.

She said she chose to open a third location in Ahwatukee Foothills, at 1345 E. Chandler Blvd., because of how close-knit the community is. Gulbranson said she figured Ahwatukee would want a clinic of its own.

The thing Derma Health Institute prides itself the most on is its customer service and its focus on treating the whole person.

"When someone comes in with something that has to do with acne, we don't just slap something on the skin," Gulbrnason said. "We know there's a root cause for that."

Derma Health Institute officially opened for business Jan. 5, and plans to have its grand opening celebration on March 3.
