Betty Teille, a financial advisor in the Ahwatukee office of the financial services firm Edward Jones, is retiring after 13 years of service with the firm and working in the Ahwatukee Foothills community since 1987.
To celebrate her upcoming retirement, Teille is hosting an open house 3-7:30 p.m. Oct. 12 at the Four Points Sheraton, 10831 S. 51st St., Ahwatukee, for clients and the community.
“When I joined this firm 13 years ago, I knew I was making the right decision,” said Teille. “Now I can say that I truly enjoyed working with the people of this community to serve their financial needs.”
Teille has received the Edward Jones A.F. McKenzie Award for outstanding sales and service in 2005, 2006 and 2008, Winners Circle Award in 2005, Regional Leadership Award in 2005, Ted Jones Award in 2005, Founders Achievement Award in 2013, 2015 and 2016 and the Edward Jones Century Award in 2013.
She also has been active in Ahwatukee.
She has been an annual sponsor of Kyrene de los Cerritos Elementary School Spring Carnival since 2012; a God’s Garden Preschool Transportation Day supporter since 2005, past YMCA board member and Strong Kids Campaign member, Ahwatukee Foothills Chamber of Commerce treasurer and board member as one of the original members since 2000 and past chair of Women in Business Committee and annual gala.
She received the Chamber’s Business of the Year Award in 2007 and the Lifetime Achievement Award from Women in Business in 2010.
