Medical-device company expands its U.S. operations in Phoenix

CardioNet, Inc. (NASDAQ: BEAT), a global provider of ambulatory cardiac monitoring devices, has expanded its operations into Phoenix. Headquartered in Conshohocken, Pa., CardioNet is known for its patented technology in cardiac monitoring. The firm’s Phoenix location represents an expansion of the company’s repair and distribution operations and allows CardioNet to better serve West Coast customers.

CardioNet worked with city of Phoenix staff to utilize the recruitment services provided by the Phoenix Workforce Connection to complete their first round of hiring.

AF woman named executive director of Phoenix’s Susan G. Komen for the Cure

The Phoenix Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure has named Kirsten Butzow as its new executive director. She assumed the position on Dec. 21. Having lost her sister to breast cancer in 2009, Kirsten is passionate about eradicating the disease. She looks forward to using her passion to benefit the affiliate and its service area, which includes central and northern Arizona.

“I am thrilled and honored to be part of Susan G. Komen for the Cure and look forward to driving local initiatives that fight breast cancer in Arizona,” she said.
