Frederick is animated, playful and joyful!

Frederick is a handsome boy who has not had the best life so far. When rescued he was very overweight, his fur was matted, his nails were an inch long and curled back towards his pads. This poor boy had the worst smelling breath and his teeth appeared to have never been cared for. Frederick required 17 of this teeth to be removed, some just fell out of his mouth.

Despite all of his ailments, Frederick was and is a happy-go-lucky boy. He loves to go on leisurely walks and is happy to sit with you while you watch the world go by. A quite home that will spoil this handsome man with walks, cuddle time and a comfy pillow or two to rest his head on is just want we are looking for. If that’s your home, please fill out an application today at www.azrescue.org.

Year-end tax donations needed to help kitten get surgery

A win-win tax donation for you will save 8-month-old Kelly’s leg! Kelly was saved as a 6-week-old motherless kitten from the Apache Junction Pound, and has been at Cactus Cats’ Saturday adoption days most of her short life.

This past Saturday, as a potential adopter requested to hold Kelly, a noise in the busy Ahwatukee Foothills PETCO store startled her and she broke free and ran, breaking her leg. Surgery is needed this week to save Kelly’s leg and estimates for the surgery are running $1,200 to $1,400.

To help, mail donations to Cactus Cats Rescue, P.O. Box 50673, Phoenix, AZ 85044.
