Ma’agal Tormim ends year on high note

Ma’agal Tormim, the Temple Emanuel of Tempe Rosh Chodesh Giving Circle, ended the year 2009 on a high note by funding six grants to worthy organizations. The Giving Circle, formed in July 2009, consists of a dozen women who were inspired to enhance their Judaism by seeking out agencies with impressive visions and missions.

Grants were provided to the following organizations: Urban Outreach (Tempe), Soujourner Center (Phoenix), Communities in Schools (Tempe), Hillel at Arizona State University (Tempe), Jewish Free Loan (Phoenix) and Maricopa County Animal Care and Control (Mesa).

These awards are presented with hope that the economy will improve and that all worthy organizations will have the funding that they need to serve all of the communities that are experiencing challenges.
