Barber, Haskins planning wedding

Dennis and Alice Barber of Ahwatukee Foothills are proud to announce the engagement of their daughter, Lynette Dorothy Barber, to Cooper Joseph Haskins, son of Richard and Sherry Haskins, also of Ahwatukee Foothills.

The couple are high school sweethearts, and both graduated from Mountain Pointe High School in 2003.

Haskins received his Bachelor of Science degree in construction management in 2009 from Arizona State University. He is currently pursuing a career in fire services.

Barber received her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing in 2006 from Arizona State University. She currently works at Cardon Children’s Medical Center at Banner Desert as a registered nurse in pediatrics.

The wedding will take place in March 2010, and the couple will reside in Ahwatukee Foothills.


Barnaby earns Dean’s List honors

Ahwatukee Foothills resident Jacob Barnaby was named to the Dean’s List for the spring 2009 semester at The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Md. To be selected for this honor, a student must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale with a minimum of 14 credit hours.

Barnaby is majoring in international studies and is expected to graduate in May 2012. He is the son of Kenneth and Paula Barnaby and attended Desert Vista High School.
