Phoenix Marketing provides free marketing education for local businesses

Phoenix Marketing, Ltd., has developed a 10-week marketing course to help local businesses survive and thrive this “Great Recession.”

The donated marketing course provides an intense “Ten Step, Ten Class” education program, and any business executive or entrepreneur is welcome to attend. The last three free classes of the series will meet from 9 to 10 a.m. April 14, 21 and 28 at the Ahwatukee Foothills Chamber of Commerce, 10235 S. 51st St.

There is no charge to attend. To register, call (480) 456-4700 or visit the chamber. For those unable to attend, a video is available for $20.

 

NAWBO Phoenix to host 2010 Women’s Resource Day

The Phoenix chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) will have its day long conference April 21. Women’s Resource Day: Building Your Business for Riveting Success. will be from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Desert Willow Conference Center, 4340 E. Cotton Center Blvd.

Event admission includes a light breakfast, luncheon and choice of seminar options. Up to 25 exhibition spaces are available on a first-come first-served basis.

The cost is $85 for the full day, $50 for lunch only. Marketplace tables are also available for $200 (members) and $250 (non-members).

Boys & Girls Clubs, Jersey Mike’s team up to help local kids

Jersey Mike’s Subs restaurants in Phoenix and surrounding communities are joining forces in a month-long campaign to benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Phoenix (BGCMP). To support the organization, Jersey Mike’s stores will donate $1 for every No. 13 sub (the Original Italian) sold throughout the month of April.

In addition, 10,000 free sub coupons will be distributed throughout the community and at BGCMP events during the month of April. For each card redeemed, Jersey Mike’s will donate $1 to the cause.

The nearest Jersey Mike’s location is at 4605 E. Chandler Blvd., Suite 100.

LeadZSmart business meetings on Wednesdays at chamber

A LeadZSmart Leads Group meets every Wednesday at the Ahwatukee Chamber of Commerce, 10235 S. 51st Street, Suite 185. A meet and greet starts at 7:30 a.m. and the meeting is from 8 to 9 a.m.

All who attend will have a 60-second intro at the beginning of the meeting, followed by a 10-minute member presentation. The meeting will also include a helpful lead referral lesson and group discussion.

Hosting an event for the Ahwatukee Foothills Chamber of Commerce is a way to get your business noticed.

Tuesday morning mixers are from 8 to 9 a.m. on the second Tuesday of each month at a local business. Dates needing hosts are July 13, Aug. 10, Sept. 14, Oct. 12, Nov. 9 and Dec. 14. Wednesday evening mixers are from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on the third Wednesday of each month, also at local businesses. Open dates are June 16, July 21, Aug. 18, Oct. 20 and Nov. 17.

Chamber offers new programs to build businesses

A new business leads group, Wednesday Business Leaders, meets from 8 to 9 a.m. Wednesday mornings at the Ahwatukee Foothills Chamber of Commerce offices, 10235 S. 51st St., Suite 185. Attendees must RSVP with their business category to info@AhwatukeeChamber.com.

A new round table discussion and springboard called Social Media Toolkit will gather from noon to 1 p.m. on the second and fourth Tuesdays at the chamber offices. The event will encompass social media ideas, what works, what doesn’t and a chance to hear from professionals who use it every day.
