Tasting Ahwatukee 2010

Tasting Ahwatukee is a family event that offers guests an opportunity to sample foods from 20 of the best Ahwatukee Foothills restaurants. Tickets are $7. Mountain View Lutheran Church will host this event, which showcases not only local restaurants, but also local businesses. Proceeds from the event will benefit the church’s youth programs.

There will also be a Silent Auction, which includes tickets to sporting events and concerts, gift certificates and gift baskets.

Businesses and restaurants are encouraged to sign up now while space is still available. Chamber to partner with A magazine

The Ahwatukee Foothills Chamber of Commerce has announced a partnership with “A” – Ahwatukee’s Premiere Magazine. The two have joined forces to provide the community with improved access to information about local business and community resources. “The Chamber is very excited to be a part of such a stylish and informative hometown magazine,” said Terri Kimble, President and CEO of the Ahwatukee Foothills Chamber of Commerce. “The relationship between ‘A’ Magazine and the Chamber is an integral part of promoting local business here in Ahwatukee Foothills.”

 

SRP offers discounted heat pump checkup

SRP is offering its customers a 16-point heat pump checkup through Dec. 31 for $59.95 per working unit, plus tax. Debbie Kimberly, SRP’s manager of energy efficiency and policy analysis, recommends that SRP customers have a checkup on their heating/cooling systems twice each year to maintain operating efficiency. To take advantage of the offer, SRP customers should call the Electric League of Arizona at (602) 274-6808.
