Sakana Sushi has 17 years of experience feeding hungry Ahwatukee Foothills residents.
"When we opened in 1994 this was the only Japanese cuisine around this neighborhood," said area manager Jun Park. "It's the history, the quality, the price, and the good people who I always work with. I think that all together combines to make us more successful."
Sakana now has four locations in the Valley.
In 2012, Park says they hope to do some renovating inside the Ahwatukee location. They also hope to add more special deals to the menu. Sakana is popular for sushi, but Park says he'd like to focus more on the grill part of the restaurant. The restaurant is already equipped with teppanyaki tables for chefs to cook right in front of the customers. Park says they will be putting more focus on that in the future to attract more clientele.
