HERE: Ironwood Library presents teen dating violence prevention program Oct. 19

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Kaity’s Way founder Bobbi Sudberry will present her teenage daughter’s tragic story of teen dating violence from 2 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19 in the meeting room at Ahwatukee’s Ironwood Library, 4333 E. Chandler Blvd. She will be joined by detective Veronica Lumpkin of the Phoenix Police Department’s Domestic Violence Unit and Stand and Serve teen mentors.

NEAR: Albie Micklich and Friends at ASU Herberger Institute Oct. 18

Bassoonist Albie Micklich will be joined by Andrew Campbell, piano; Elizabeth Buck, flute; Martin Schuring, oboe; Robert Spring and Joshua Gardner, clarinet; Christopher Creviston, saxophone; and John Ericson, horn; for a variety of collaborative works at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 18 at ASU Herberger Institute, Katzin Concert Hall, 50 Gammage Parkway in Tempe.
