Here: Alice in Wonderland
A creative re-telling of the classic children's tale Alice in Wonderland with a cast of area children ages 8 to 16. The production will take place this Friday and Saturday, Jan. 28 and 29, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Jan. 30, at 3 p.m. at the Center Pointe Dance Black Box Theater, 4825 E. Warner Road, Suite 11. For the Sunday matinee show only, you can bring in a gently used pair of shoes and get 2-for-1 tickets, a free acting or musical theater class to benefit the Haiti earthquake victims.

Near: Italian American festival
On Friday, Jan. 28 through Sunday, Jan. 30, the Kokopelli Winery and Bistro will host an Italian American festival at 35 W. Boston St., Chandler. The festival will include food, live Italian music, bocce ball and the Pantera car club will display their sports cars. Discounted wine tasting and Italian inspired wines will be featured.
