Here: Poker tournament to benefit Eve's Place
On Sunday, Jan. 9 at 2 p.m. a Texas Hold'-em Poker Tournament will take place at Cactus Jack's Ahwatukee Tavern, 4747 E. Elliot Road, to help benefit Eve's Place. Eve's Place is a safe house for victims of domestic violence. Advanced tickets are $20 and $25 at the door. Prizes will be offered with breakfast included. Near: That Kool Band returns to Broadway Palm
On Tuesday, Jan. 11, Arizona oldies band That Kool Band will perform for a cocktail show at the Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre in Mesa. There will not be a meal with this show but beverages will be available for sale. There will be a dance floor.
