Here: Supplies 4 Students sponsor school supply drive
Communities in Schools of Arizona is sponsoring a school supply drive now through Aug. 10. Donations needed are backpacks with or without supplies such as paper, folders, pencils, crayons, glue, rulers, toiletries, classroom/teacher supplies, gift cards or monetary donations. Volunteers are also needed to sort donation collections. The donation drop off location is at the Ahwatukee Foothills News, 10631 S. 51st St., Suite 1.

Near: Suns Operation Orange to host free shoot-around
The Phoenix Suns are inviting fans of all ages to a free shoot-around on the main court of the US Airways Center, 201 E. Jefferson St., from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, July 22. Fans will compete in a variety of basketball skills competitions, including 3-point and free throw contests, along with a skills competition. Prizes will be awarded within each age group.
