On Sunday, July 3 enjoy a community event for all at the Ahwatukee Country Club, 12432 S. 48th St., featuring live music with the Hype, a hot dog-eating contest, bike parade and fireworks. Food and beverage will be available for purchase. Gates open at 6 p.m. with fireworks at 9 p.m. Free admission.

Near: Jeff Bridges Band in concert
The Jeff Bridges Band will celebrate Independence Day, and be a highlight of the Arizona Biltmore's summer-long "Hollywood & Wine" festival, with a concert on July 3 at 8 p.m. in the resort's McArthur Ballroom, 2400 E. Missouri Ave. in Phoenix. Academy Award-winner Bridges and his band will perform songs from his hit movie "Crazy Heart" and his album "Be Here Soon." A fireworks show will follow on Squaw Peak Lawn.
