The Foothills Women’s Club adopts a charity each year and at each meeting they hold a 50/50 raffle for the organization. This year they’re adopting Helen’s Hope Chest, which benefits foster children.

The Foothills Women’s Club invites the public to participate in its first talent show. They are looking for three-minute musical, dancing, comedy, or other performances from the Ahwatukee community. The show will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 8 at the Foothills Golf Club, 2201 E. Clubhouse Drive. Come to be part of the audience as a guest for $10. Theater snacks provided. NEAR: ‘Behind the scenes tour’ with Curator at Pueblo Grande Museum Jan. 8

Join curator of collections Holly Young for a “behind the scenes” tour of the museum. This is an opportunity to learn about the artifacts that are not on display in the museum and see how museums care for their collections.

The tour will take place from 2 to 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 8. This tour is open to walk-in visitors with paid museum admission. First come, first serve tour. Space is limited.
