New My Wine Cellar classes begin Aug. 17

Are you a wine lover interested in getting to the next level of wine drinking and knowledge? My Wine Cellar in Ahwatukee, 5030 E. Warner Road, begins a four-week Wine 201 series of classes on Saturday, Aug. 17 at 1 p.m. Unlike the Wine 101 classes, which are meant for those new to wine, the Wine 201 classes focus on the subtle variations and characteristics of four varieties. Cost is $80 for the four classes, or $25 for an individual calls.

Sensory friendly autism event at Skateland Aug. 18

Skateland in Chandler, 1101 W. Ray Road, will be hosting a Skate for Autism event for families with children of autism from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 18, and every other Sunday through Sept. 29. This event is a sensory friendly event and a great opportunity to exercise, play games, and have fun. No loud music or flashing lights. Admission is $5 and includes skate rental. Non-skating adults admitted free, skatemates $2.
