Here: Youth Night at Ahwatukee YMCA
A youth night will be offered at the Ahwatukee Foothills Family YMCA on Friday, Jan. 28, from 7 to 9 p.m. for fourth- and fifth-grade students. This will be a fun night in a safe and exciting environment. Pizza and soda, video games, rock wall, music, candy and popcorn for $1, Hair dye, face paint and sports. The cost is $5 at the door.

Near: SMCC spotlights the words of Langston Hughes
As a lead in to South Mountain Community College's celebration of Black History Month, the college will present "Ask Your Mama: Twelve Moods for Jazz," a multi-media concert based on a poetic masterwork by poet/playwright Langston Hughes, at the SMCC Performance Hall at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 26.
