HERE: Make ornaments out of bird seed Dec. 14

The Ahwatukee Community Garden Project is hosting a Children’s Workshop at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 14 in the Children’s Garden at the Ahwatukee Swim and Tennis Center, 4700 E. Warner Road. This month the children will make ornaments from bird seed. The ornaments will be hung in the garden to provide winter food for wild birds. Ornaments will be taken home, as well.

NEAR: Tempe Community Chorus to perform Dec. 13

Tempe Community Chorus was founded in 1991 by a small group of individuals interested in performing four-part choral music productions and has grown into a nonprofit organization of approximately 100 members. The chorus rehearses a variety of pieces, from classical to pop, Broadway to jazz.

They will perform at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 13 at King of Glory Lutheran Church, 2085 E. Southern Ave. in Tempe. Tickets are $10 at the door for ages 12 and up.
