Desert Vista Key Club is hosting its first blood drive of the school year from 7:15 to 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 24 at the Desert Vista small gym, 16440 S. 32 St.

Due to increased security this year, check in at the front office.

NEAR: Douglas Yeo at ASU Herberger Institute

Trombonist Douglas Yeo will perform works for bass trombone, including Nelson Riddle’s “Five Pieces for Bass Trombone” and James Stephenson’s Sonata Rhapsody “The Arch” at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 22 at the ASU Herberger Institute, Katzin Concert Hall, 50 Gammage Parkway in Tempe.
