Deadline extended to Nov. 1 for competition for artists with disabilities

Artists who are over 19 years old, have a disability and live in Arizona or one of Phoenix's nine sister cities are eligible for the fifth annual Phoenix Sister Cities International Competition for Artists with Disabilities. The deadline for the contest has been extended to Nov. 1.

Cash awards of $500, $300 and $150 will be granted to the first, second and third place winners respectively. An event to display the art and announce the winners will be Friday evening, Nov. 5, at 1014 N. Second St.

More information on the art competition and an application form is available at www.phoenixsistercities.org in the "Program" section under "Disability Awareness Program."
