Experience the rhythms, beats, sights and theatrics as the fall season kicks off from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 10, at Mesa Arts Center, 1 E. Main St., Mesa, and new exhibitions open at Mesa Contemporary Arts (MCA). MCA will feature artwork by contemporary American Indian artists and the entire Mesa Arts Center campus will take part in the celebration. Festivities will include free live performances by Mesa Arts Center's Founding Resident Company organizations in the four theaters along with Art Studios activities and demonstrations.

Live performances in September will include eight-time Native American Music Award winner Jana Mashonee at 8 p.m. Sept. 11; the Hanson - Shout It Out Tour 2010 with A Rocket to the Moon at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 14; and NBC'S Last Comic Standing Live Tour: 2010 at 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 17.

Fall exhibitions include Transcending Traditions, Contemporary American Indian Artwork from Sept. 10 to Jan. 2; Mario Martinez from Sept. 10 to Jan. 30; and Installation by James Luna from Sept. 10 to Jan. 9.
