Valley Youth Theatre's "The Most VYTal Event of the Season 2010!" was a smashing success. Their eleventh gala fundraiser honoring Billie Jo & Judd Herberger and Wells Fargo Bank at the newly renovated Herberger Theater Center included a take-off on the very popular "Glee". Forty six Valley youngsters played to a sold out house and standing ovations.
Billie Jo and Judd Herberger and Wells Fargo Bank were presented the VYTALITY Award ("Valley Youth Theatre Applauds Leadership Impacting Today's Youth") for their commitment to Valley Youth Theatre.
The event, co-chaired by VYT Board Members Kim Magyar, Stef Smith and Laura Stover, raised over $160,000 to support the non-profit theatre's 2010-11 season.
This year, Valley Youth Theatre celebrates its 22nd Anniversary Season of providing outstanding family entertainment showcasing hundreds of talented young people from communities throughout our Valley, while offering exceptional performing arts opportunities for virtually thousands of Valley children. VYT's Education and Outreach programs include Literacy and the Arts which encourages reading and provides free books to 4,800 inner-city underprivileged children each year.
