Desert Stages Theatre takes an artistic leap of faith with its presentation of "Cat on a Hot
Tin Roof" soon after the star of the original Tennessee Williams work in film passed away, Elizabeth Taylor. The show continues through Sunday, May 1, and is part of DST's Mainstage Series produced in a theater in the round.
"Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" is the Tennessee Williams story of the simmering frustrations of seemingly favorite son, Brick, the former hope and star athlete of the family, and his father, patriarch Big Daddy who we see dissolve into anger and disappointment over his son, and a son who matches that anger -- and adds frustration as well.
Tickets are available online at www.DesertStages.org, by phone (480) 483-1664, and also at the theater box office, 4720 N. Scottsdale Road. Tickets are $22 in advance or $25 day of performance.
