Are you involved with an arts and culture or school group that has crowd appeal? If so, the city of Chandler and the Downtown Chandler Community Partnership would like to put you "center stage." Local groups are invited to apply to perform on the community stage at the Nov. 20 Downtown Chandler Block Party.

The Block Party is a community-wide event to celebrate the completion of the Arizona Avenue construction and the new City Hall, as well as a chance to showcase the events and businesses that have made the downtown area so popular.

Performances will run between 20 to 30 minutes from noon until 8 p.m. The stage will be located on Arizona Avenue, which will be blocked off for the day.

All performers must submit a DVD or audio sample of their performances.

For more information, call Darryl Toupkin at (480) 609-3978.
