Chandler Center for the Arts announces grand re-opening season

After a yearlong renovation, Chandler Center for the Arts (250 N. Arizona Ave., Chandler) is once again ready to host great performances this coming season.

At $6.7 million, the largest remodeling effort ever undertaken by the Center, completely revamped everything from the rigging system above, to the carpet beneath, and all the way down to the expanded offices and dressing rooms. The newly designed exterior features a new plaza and a welcoming, open design that shows the Center to all who pass by.

The Center's mission has always been to provide world-class programming for the area. With the state of the art equipment in place, the Center will be able to meet the requirements of leading Broadway performances.

The 2010/11 season is filled with magic! Scheduled performances includes: Michael Bolton, Sept. 10, 8 p.m.; Howie Mandel, Sept. 24, 8 p.m.; Benise, Oct. 3, 7 p.m.; Cirque Shanghai Bai Xi, Oct. 24, 7 p.m.; Alpin Hong, Oct. 29, 8 p.m.; Point of Grace, Nov. 12, 7 p.m.; ABBA Mania, Nov. 13, 8 p.m.; In the Christmas Mood ~ Glenn Miller Orchestra, Dec. 20, 7 p.m.; Zoppé An Italian Family Circus Since 1842 ~ Presented By Steena Murray, Dec. 26 to Jan. 2 (times vary); Golda's Balcony, Jan. 23, 3 p.m.; Dancing on Ice, Feb. 12, 7:30 p.m.; Rita Coolidge, Feb. 19, 7:30 p.m.; Axis Dance Company, March 4, 8 p.m.; The Lennon Sisters, March 5, 7:30 p.m.; America's Favorite Cowboys Riders in the Sky, March 13, 3 p.m.; Frank Sinatra Jr., March 19, 7:30 p.m.; Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder, March 26, 7:30 p.m.; Steve Wariner, April 2, 8 p.m.; Street Beat, April 8, 8 p.m.; Hotel California, A Salute to the Eagles, April 16, 8 p.m.; Spencers Theatre Of Illusion, April 17, 3 p.m.; and Sierra Leone's Refugee All Stars, April 30, 8 p.m.
