The Chandler Symphony Orchestra announces a youth soloist competition for piano students presently enrolled in grades seven to 12. The first place winner will perform with the Chandler Symphony at its Sunday, March 27, 2011 concert at Chandler Center for the Arts. The winning soloist will also receive $400 honorarium and publicity surrounding this event. Second and third place cash awards will also be awarded.
Applications are due by Dec. 15 and require a $25 nonrefundable application fee. Auditions will be on Jan. 15, 2011 at Az Piano, 4134 E. Wood St., Suite 200, Phoenix.
