Near: ‘Disney in Concert’ by Phoenix Symphony this weekend

The Arizona Biltmore’s summer-long “Hollywood & Wine” Festival kicks off its Hollywood Blockbuster Movie Month on Fourth of July weekend with members of The Phoenix Symphony and a quartet of acclaimed vocalists performing ”Disney in Concert” to bring to life the magical music of the movies.

In addition to the concert, which will conclude with fireworks, the July Hollywood Blockbuster Movie Month will feature movie screenings, Hollywood professionals giving presentations about their movie-making techniques and tricks, tastings of celebrity wines and special foods.

“Disney in Concert” will be performed on July 4. Clips of animated Disney movies will be projected on a huge screen while The Phoenix Symphony musicians and four vocalists perform. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m., and the concert will start at 7 p.m. After the 90-minute show, concert-goers will be escorted outside for a 7-minute fireworks finale to the show. Concert tickets are $35.

The featured celebrity wines in July will be Francis Ford Coppola Winery and Rebel Vinum (created by a director/screenwriter Doug Barr and production executive Bruce Orosz). Also featured in July will be AZ Stronghold, which produces wines in Arizona’s Cochise County, and B.R. Cohn Winery of Sonoma, Calif.
