Arizona's newest ensemble, the Arizona Chamber Orchestra announces its next concert series, Gershwin's PORGY AND BESS SUITE March 31 to April 2 performed at Mesa Arts Center, Tempe Center for the Arts and the Musical Instrument Museum. This enchanting program brings some of the most beloved melodies in the repertoire to the Valley music halls that have been recognized for their acoustic purity and brilliance. Leading with Ravel's Sonata for Violin and Piano and Britten's Simple Symphony, the pinnacle of the evening will be Gershwin's irresistible Suite from Porgy and Bess, featuring acclaimed virtuoso Miroslav Božič on harmonica to evoke lush visions of the American South.

Performances are March 31 at 7:30 p.m. at Mesa Arts Center, 1 E. Main St. Mesa, April 1 at the Musical Instrument Museum, 4725 E. Mayo Blvd., Phoenix, at 7 p.m. and April 2 at 8 p.m. at Tempe Center for the Arts, 700 W. Rio Salado Pkwy. Tickets are $20 for general admission, $10 for students and are available at www.arizonachamberorchestra.com.
