The Heard Museum is now open 364 days a year - the only day the museum will be closed is Dec. 25. The move is slated to offer more opportunities for visitors to enjoy one of the nation's most prestigious centers of American Indian art and culture.

The first holiday the Heard Museum will be open is Thursday, Nov. 25, on Thanksgiving Day. Visitors will have the opportunity to join the Heard Museum for a special, cuisine-based American Indian journey with the inauguration of Harvest Feast: A Native American Edible Gallery. Not surprisingly, many of the foods associated with the current Thanksgiving meal - such as turkey with all the trimmings - are comprised of foods native to the United States. What better way to celebrate the generosity shown by Native peoples at the first Thanksgiving! For more information or to reserve a seat, call (602) 252-8848, ext. 2276.

Museum admission rates have also changed and are $15 for adults, $13.50 for seniors age 62 and over, $7.50 for children age 3 through 12 and $7.50 for students with I.D.
