Here: Celebrate National Dance Day July 31 with Laughaholic Laurie

So You Think You Can Dance executive producer and judge Nigel Lythgoe has declared July 31 as National Dance Day. Lythgoe is also promoting the new holiday through his Dizzy Feet Foundation, which he created in 2009 to help underprivileged young people realize their dream of becoming professional dancers and to support, improve and increase access to dance education in the United States (www.fox.com/dance or www.dizzyfeetfoundation.org).

National Dance Day is intended to promote health and wellness nationwide, and Laughaholic Laurie from Laurie's Laughaholic Club is offering a 30-minute free-style dance fitness class starting at noon July 31 at Curves Ahwatukee, 4025 E. Chandler Blvd., Suite 74 The dance frenzy is free, fun and full of laughter.

Laurie's Laughoholic Club meets from 3 to 4 p.m. on the second Sunday of each month at the same location. Laughter is good for your health - the perfect antidote to the harmful effects of stress. A laugh club is a safe place to act childlike and be playful and laugh our way to health and happiness. Anyone can do it at any age or level of mobility.
