The casual eatery where diners typically pop in for pizza, salads or sandwiches will step things up a notch with a wine pairing dinner.

Flancer’s cafe in Mesa will host an “around the world and back”-themed feast 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18.

On the menu are blue crab and white bean hummus paired with an Italian pinot grigio, an organic strawberry-goat cheese-and-bacon salad with California pinot noir, a flat-iron steak with an Argentinian white blend, and baklava with a California merlot.
