The Phoenix Convention Center is getting set to host the first Amazing Women’s Expo this weekend, where local businesses and special guests will join together to give women the chance for relaxation tailored to them.

Set for Aug. 17-18, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the expo seeks to bring together women of all ages for a fun-filled two days to participate in activities such as wine tasting, shopping, giveaways, makeovers and spa treatments, among other fun events.

The expo will feature a series of speakers who will be giving motivational speeches Saturday through Sunday. Guests include three-time Emmy Award-winning CBS 5 News anchor and founder of Sisterhood of Super Women, Catherine Anaya; Miss Arizona 2012, Erika Frantzve; and image expert, Janice Hurley-Trailor; among others. Together, these women will be giving a variety of speeches all aimed at empowering women and sending positive messages.

Attendees for the expo will also be in for a treat with three celebrity guests making an appearance. “Twilight Saga’s” Booboo Stewart, Eric Martsolf of “Days of our Lives,” and Monica Spannbauer of “The Bachelor” season 16 will all be available the weekend of the expo at varying times for the exclusive chance to have a meet and greet.

The cost to attend the Amazing Women’s Expo will be $10 at the entrance with a portion of ticket sales benefitting the “Everyday Heroes Like You” charity, which aides other nonprofit groups across the nation.

The Phoenix Convention Center is located at 100 N. 3rd St.
