Chicago-based fast-casual restaurant Portillo’s will open 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10, at Tempe Marketplace. It will be open 10 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays, and 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays on the northeast corner of Rio Salado Parkway and McClintock Drive.

Portillo’s, which serves Chicago favorites like Italian beef and sausage, welcomed nearly 10,000 diners when it opened its first Arizona location earlier this year in Scottsdale.
“The Scottsdale opening was the largest in our company history,” said restaurant owner Dick Portillo in a release.
The 8,219-square-foot Tempe Portillo’s is decorated with 1930s, ’40s and ’50s memorabilia reflecting Chicago history. It will seat 236 guests indoors and 80 outdoors.
