If you’re a fashionista you may want to check out Arizona’s first Ann Taylor concept store coming to the Chandler Fashion Center this weekend.

“The new concept store is designed to create a more intimate shopping experience for the Ann Taylor client,” said Arlena Pordoy, spokesperson for the company. “The new boutiques are functional with shop within shops that make finding favorite pieces easy and enjoyable.”

Pordoy said this store will be different from other Ann Taylor locations because it will feature a fashion forward point of view, a boutique feel, unique lighting and dressing rooms.

There will be a runway of mannequins lining the middle of the store to showcase the latest looks of the season. Modern lighting will include chandeliers and propriety lighting. The dressing rooms will feature a multichannel touch screen for clients to find product information.

Five percent of proceeds during the June 4 grand opening will go to the Chandler Center for the Arts.

“Ann Taylor chose to partner with Chandler Center for the Arts because it is an organization that supports the arts and creative work,” Pordoy said. “The organization’s values align with Ann’s.”

This is the first Ann Taylor store of its kind in Arizona, but in the past year concept stores have opened up in New York, Miami, Atlanta, Seattle, Dallas and Boca Raton.

“Ann Taylor is in the midst of a major rejuvenation and the new concept store brings the experience to life,” Pordoy said. “The ‘new Ann’ exudes ease, sophistication, versatility and a more fashion forward direction.”

Saturday’s grand opening will be from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Chandler Fashion Center, 3111 W. Chandler Blvd.
