Feeling challenged in the crafty, do-it-yourself costume department? Or ill-prepared altogether for this whole dressing up on Oct. 31 thing? This easy Mesa Halloween activity has you covered.

Usery Mountain Regional Park is inviting children, teens and adults to decorate a simple bed sheet and wear it for a Goofy Ghost Walk on Saturday, Oct. 19.

Ghosts wearing their homemade costumes will take an easy quarter-mile stroll through the dark and spooky desert with a team of "Ghost Rangers." Those rangers will also judge the best child, teen, and adult costumes.

The evening includes free snacks and drinks, fun games, and stories around the bonfire in the park's outdoor amphitheater.

Bring a flashlight, and wear closed-toe shoes. Large groups should call ahead, and pets should be left at home.

The fee to enter the park is $6 per vehicle. For information, call (480) 984-0032 or visit Maricopa.gov/parks/usery.
