On Sunday, My Wine Cellar in Ahwatukee is inviting the community to enjoy jazz, boutique wines and good weather.

Owner Zoya Vora-Shah, who started the first wine festival last year, said she hopes the event will share her passion of wine with the community.

“I just want people to have fun, and it’s about sharing my love of wine,” Vora-Shah said.

The festival is set to begin at noon on Nov. 18 and end around 3 p.m. In those three hours, attendees will be able to try 20 different wines with vouchers.

Local jazz band, What’s the Big Idea, will also be performing throughout the afternoon.

“We’re hoping people will enjoy themselves and the weather,” Vora-Shah said.

Last year, the wine bistro drew a crowd of nearly 150 people. With more of a standing-room atmosphere, the patio also allows for more wine tasting distributors and a view of the nearby golf course.

My Wine Cellar features approximately 30 wines by the glass that represent different countries around the world. Though Vora-Shah leans toward featuring small, boutique wines that aren’t mass produced, she ultimately wants people to branch out of the comfort zone with wines.

“With the festival, you get to try different wines that you wouldn’t normally try,” Vora-Shah said. “And there’s a lot of room to grow as a business.”

My Wine Cellar, 5030 E. Warner Road, will host the wine festival from noon to 3 p.m. on Sunday. Costs start at $20. For more information, visit
