From the infinitesimal to the immense: that’s how you might describe a new Chandler art exhibition that explores scale.

“Micro/Macro: The Sculptural Art of Kevin Caron” runs Sept. 6 through Oct. 26 in the Exhibition Hall at Chandler Center for the Arts. It is free and open to the public.

“Some people look at my sculptures and see a universe, while others see a molecule,” says Kevin Caron, the artist whose three-dimensional forms make up the show, in a release. “I love playing with perception, and using scale is one way to trick viewers’ minds.”

Caron will be available to chat about his work at a free reception 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sept. 6 in the exhibition hall.

A longtime Valley resident, Caron was named Sculptor of the Year 2012 by Art Trends Magazine. His latest public sculpture, The Seed, can be seen in the lobby of Chandler’s Tumbleweed Recreation Center.

Chandler Center for the Arts is at 250 N. Arizona Ave. For information, call (480) 782-2695 or visit
