The Mesa Arts Center campus will turn into a virtual winter wonderland over the weekend for the city’s ninth annual Mesa Arts Festival.

The event features original works of art for sale from local, regional and national artists in various mediums, live entertainment on two stages, live artist demonstrations, a Bookmans Family Activity Area, and an array of food vendors.

Performance artists in period costumes will mingle with the crowd for photo opportunities, and children may paint a ceramic ornament for free, courtesy of Bookmans, make a pine cone craft, and listen to the Bookmans Book Pals Storyteller.

Mesa Contemporary Arts Museum and the MAC Artists’ Cooperative Gallery will be open. Ceramics, glass blowing, blacksmithing, weaving, quilting, jewelry making, painting and printmaking demonstrations will take place throughout the festival.

Entertainment includes a fire juggler, the Beach Boys tribute band Southwest Surfers and jazz from the Pete Pancrazi quartet.
