See fashion, memorabilia and artifacts of influential female musicians of the 20th century including Wanda Jackson, Aretha Franklin, Joan Jett, Madonna, Queen Latifah, and many more, at this special exhibition at the Musical Instrument Museum on loan from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

The activity line-up for opening day, Saturday, Oct. 19, includes rock star makeovers from Fancy Faces, photo ops on the red carpet, electric guitar lessons and mini tours of the museum.

While there, you’ll hear live performances from French Girls, Catfish Mustache and Pick and Holler and be able to savor Joan Jett shrimp-and-curry soup, Lady Gaga beef-carpaccio salad, Ma Rainey pork ribs, and Melissa Etheridge “The Awakening” tiramisu pudding at Café Allego.

Exhibit admission is $7 when purchased with full museum admission or $10 for the exhibition only. The exhibit is on display through March 2014. Information and tickets are available at mim.org.
