Get ready to rock - Rock the Block that is. The annual fall festival is Saturday, Nov.9, in Downtown Chandler and features a street fair with two live performance stages.
“We close down Arizona Avenue, which is kind of a big deal, and bring a ton of free family events and music to Chandler to celebrate local businesses,” Jennifer Lindley, Executive Director at Downtown Chandler Community Partnership said.
Of the two stages, the Main Stage will feature prominent artists from Arizona’s music scene, while the Community Stage will showcase local singers and dancers in a “Chandler’s Got Talent” show. The block party will allow visitors to stroll down Arizona Avenue from Chandler Blvd. to Frye Road, and visit downtown businesses and 150 vendors selling arts and crafts, food, drinks and other items. Local Chandler favorites from the Farmer’s Market and Art Walk will be on site as well.
There will also be a large beer garden and a kids’ zone featuring a zip-line and bounce houses. The event will include Veterans Day celebrations and the lighting of the Christmas lights in downtown Chandler.
