Since its beginning, Pro Edge Performance Training's motto has been "Tap Into Your Potential."
Of late, it's been Pro Edge - located just across Interstate 10 and recently voted the Ahwatukee Foothills' "best place to work out" - and owner Derek Kennard, named "best personal trainer," that have started to realize their own potential.
Opened in October 2007, Kennard started with a niche group of athletes, mainly acquaintances of the former Desert Vista High School and University of Nevada football player.
Now Kennard has seen his client base expand exponentially, and Pro Edge now trains professional athletes, including wide receiver Bobby Wade of the NFL Minnesota Vikings.
"He's a guy who's constantly able to motivate you," Wade said last year. "He's able to push your limits with also understanding your needs as an individual."
