Those looking for a good laugh and good food at a fair price can look no further than the Ahwatukee Foothills Loco Patron on Saturday, Aug. 13 when the Clean Comedy Club will take the stage to entertain diners.

The Clean Comedy Club, formerly known as the Ahwatukee Comedy Club, is a group of five stand-up comedians who travel all over the Valley doing shows without profanity and vulgarity. The group began in Ahwatukee but changed its name in 2008 when they began to travel to other venues, rather than just hosting their own comedy nights at the Grace Inn in Ahwatukee. Now, they do events across the Valley as well as private events and fundraisers. This is their first event at Loco Patron.

"Laughter is 100 percent guaranteed always," said Anders Berg, promoter and producer for the group. "What we feature is local and national comedians. Some of them have lived in Phoenix and travelled to Los Angeles or New York for events. There's a good caliber or quality of comedians."

Tickets for the event cost $10 and can be purchased online at cleancomedyclub.com. The show begins at 8 p.m. at Loco Patron, 1327 E. Chandler Blvd., Suite 108.

"It's a great place with great food and there will also be great entertainment," Berg said. "My purpose is to show people you don't have to go to Scottsdale to have a good evening. You can have a quality night out in Ahwatukee."
