Desert Dog Obedience Ahwatukee has been serving the dog training needs of Ahwatukee Foothills residents for the past 20 years. Residents Beverly Stephens and Jean Burton have owned the business for the last four years and hold all of their classes at the Ahwatukee Swim and Tennis Center, located at 4700 E. Warner Road. The duo also offers in-home, one-on-one training.
“We offer beginning puppy training through competition training for people who want to show their dogs,” Burton said. “Our primary goal is to help train the family pet and make sure that the pet stays in the home so we keep dogs out of local shelters.”
Burton added that they really work with owners to give them the skills they need to train their canine companions. And now those owners have given Desert Dog Obedience Ahwatukee “Best Pet Training” honors in Ahwatukee Foothills’ Best of 2009.
