According to Ms. Heather Henss, children who attend Montessori Educare Academy are taught grace and courtesy as well as practical life exercises, mathematics, language and social studies. The Montessori method of education centers around teaching children to become independent and take care of themselves.
“I believe that you can be friends with 12-month-olds and on up, and if you treat everyone with kindness and courtesy you will get the same in return,” Henss said. “I make it a point to learn parents’ names, as well as brothers and sisters, so that they all feel like they’re a part of our community.”
