Darla Salem may be on to something, and it didn't take a financial crisis for her to figure it out. Salem, owner of A-Peeling Faces, named Ahwatukee Foothills' "Best Aesthetician," says that in addition to being "committed to constant education" and earning the trust of her clients, simple economics likely plays a small part in why she's considered the best of the best.
"I can afford to offer a reasonable rate for the same services that much of the larger med-spas provide because I do not have the overhead," Salem said. "I can perform many of the same peels and microdermabrasion treatments - as well as massage therapy - for almost half the price and the service is never compromised."
