A repeat winner in 2008 as Ahwatukee Foothills' "Best Hair Salon," at Duncan Salon, it's about more than just outer beauty.
"At Duncan Salon, health and beauty are one," said the establishment's namesake and co-owner, Duncan Robertson.
Robertson, who operates the facility with his wife, Jenny, claims to be "the only stylist in Ahwatukee to perform these transformations every day in the salon using organic haircolor."
Robertson lightheartedly admits there might be one complaint about his salon, but it's usually not from the customers.
"We have a fun, friendly, relaxed but professional atmosphere," he said. "Although we are very serious about what we do, we don't take ourselves too seriously. We don't pretend to be something that we're not. We care passionately about how our clients look and feel, but more than that, we care about their health and well-being. We form connections and honor their trust. We share lots of smiles, hugs and laughter, which sometimes disturbs the neighbors."
